Modernizing business exam preparation for Norway’s students
Enkeleksamen provides structured, peer-led courses, interactive mega quizzes, and video lessons tailored to business students. Their mission is to make exam preparation engaging, efficient, and effective through digital learning tools that adapt to student needs.
Initially launched as a WordPress MVP, the platform faced limitations in scalability, security, and feature customization, which threatened the company’s ambitious vision for growth. Working as a dedicated engineering partner, we helped Enkeleksamen build a fully-featured, future-ready eLearning platform.

Delivering a scalable, secure, and engaging eLearning platform
The goal was to transform Enkeleksamen from a limited MVP into a fully functional platform capable of handling interactive courses, video content, AI-assisted learning, and rapid content iteration.
Key objectives included reducing operational costs, improving system reliability, and enabling the team to efficiently produce and manage educational content, all while maintaining high standards for security and student data protection.

Scaling an ambitious learning platform with limited technical resources
Enkeleksamen struggled with slow course production, manual processes, 24/7 customer support demands, and rising operational costs. Their WordPress MVP could not deliver the interactive features, customization, and robust security required for a modern eLearning experience.
Additional hurdles included a small non-technical internal team, reliance on third-party tools, and scalability limitations that prevented expansion into new markets. Without a solid technical foundation, the platform risked hindering student engagement and overall growth.

Full platform migration and tailored engineering solutions
After a detailed discovery workshop, we assembled a dedicated engineering team to tackle both business and technical requirements. Key solutions included:

Rebuilt the platform on a React front-end with Ruby on Rails back-end, providing stability, customization flexibility, and improved monitoring.

Developed a custom admin dashboard, course builder, and AI-assisted tools for efficient content creation and management.

Integrated a custom open-source video player, automated course tracking, and tiered support system to reduce costs and manual workloads.
